The Special Envoy of the Secretary-General for Yemen, Hans Grundberg, paid another visit to Muscat, Oman where he met senior Omani officials, and Mohamed Abdel Salam, the Houthi rebels Chief Negotiator.
The Special Envoy's discussion with Abdel Salam focused on the ongoing efforts to foster progress toward implementing measures to improve living conditions in Yemen, securing a sustainable nationwide ceasefire, and achieving tangible progress toward an inclusive political process under UN auspices.
Grundberg expressed his gratitude for Oman's strong support for the United Nations' mediation efforts in Yemen.
