The United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met in Abu Dhabi on Friday Prime Minister Salem bin Braik and discussed with him close ties between UAE and Yemen and ways to strengthen co-operation in support of their shared interests, state news agency Wam reported.
Sheikh Mohamed conveyed his wishes for stability and prosperity in Yemen, while emphasizing the UAE’s commitment to supporting the further development of the country.
Mr bin Braik thanked Sheikh Mohamed for the UAE's continuing support and said he wished for more prosperity for the Emirates.
The UAE’s reaffirmation of support comes amid ongoing regional and international efforts to end the humanitarian crisis in Yemen and reinforce legitimate governance structures capable of delivering peace, security, and prosperity.
