A three-day meeting between the Office of the Special Envoy for Yemen and representatives from the Joint Forces Command in the Military Coordination Committee (MCC) took place from 21 and 23 January in Amman, according to a press release by OSESGY.

The press release added that Amman’s meetings followed an earlier meeting in December with representatives from the Internationally recognized Government of Yemen’s MCC Representatives.
According tp OSESGY release, since the six-months truce in 2022, the efforts of the delegations of the Military Coordination Committee, facilitated by OSESGY, have been pivotal to de-escalation efforts among the parties.
Discussion focused on an exchange of views on the current security context in Yemen and the region as well as the priorities that must be addressed before initiating a ceasefire process including confidence and trust building measures among the parties.
