"The second joint meeting of the Arab foreign Ministers and Foreign Affairs minister of India held in New Deli on Saturday restated its firm commitment to the unity of the Republic of Yemen, its sovereignty, independence and the integrity of its territory.
The Arab and Indian Foreign Ministers also confirmed in their final statement (the New Delhi Declaration) their full support for the internationally recognized government of Yemen and the efforts of the UN Secretary-General’s Special Envoy to Yemen, to achieve a comprehensive and sustainable peace.
The New Delhi statement condemned the attacks carried out by the Houthi rebels on maritime navigation, emphasizing that protecting the vital Bab el-Mandeb Strait and the southern Red Sea is not only an Arab and regional responsibility, but a shared international responsibility and a global interest.
The statement also warned against any attempts that could undermine stability in the Gulf of Aden, the Arabian Sea, and the Indian Ocean.
