Two men from Sheffield , England, have been charged with murder and three counts of attempted murder after a 16-year-old boy died in an alleged hit-and-run.

The teenager, Abdullah Yaser Abdullah Al Yazidi, recently arrived in the UK about three months ago from Yemen "for a better future" and was learning English ahead of starting college in September.

Zulkernain Ahmed, 20, and Amaan Ahmed, 26, both of, Sheffield, were charged over the death of Abdullah , South Yorkshire Police said.

Close family members say Abdullah Yaser Abdullah Al Yazidi and his family had come to Sheffield “because they thought it was safe.” CCTV footage shows the 16-year-old walking along the pavement on Staniforth Road, Darnall, tossing what appears to be a water bottle in the air, just moments before the incident.
