Yemen's government has called upon nationals in Lebanon to evacuate as the war between Israel and Hezbollah worsens.
The Yemeni embassy in Lebanon's capital, Beirut, has urged that Yemenis in Lebanon travel by land to the Lebanon-Syria border owing to a paucity of charter planes for air evacuation.
Yemenis seeking to leave Lebanon should first obtain a transit visit from the Syrian authorities.
This comes as Yemenis in Lebanon have requested their government to evacuate them urgently, as Israel has intensified bombings on the Lebanese capital and other areas.
Yemenis opposed the embassy's request to evacuate them by land to Syria, citing the fact that the Syria-Lebanon border crossing is clogged with thousands of people fleeing the violence and is also vulnerable to Israeli air attacks.
