Houthis are grieving fallen Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah, an ally in the Iran-backed resistance fighting the Israeli occupation.
"The resistance will not be broken, and the Jihadist spirit of the Mujahideen brothers in Lebanon and on all fronts of support will grow stronger and bigger," a statement issued by the group said.
Hezbollah confirmed Nasrallah's death after the Israeli military said it killed him in an attack in Beirut on Friday that leveled six residential buildings, killing 6 and injuring 91 people. More than 700 people, including dozens of children, have been killed since Israel escalated bombing campaign in Lebanon on Monday.
Both Hezbollah and the Houthis are members of the Axis of Resistance, an alliance formed over years of Iranian support against Israel and American power in the Middle East.
Since November, the Houthis have undertaken many drone and missile strikes on ships they claim are linked with Israel in critical commerce waterways such as the Red Sea, the Bab al-Mandab Strait, and the Gulf of Aden. They claim their attacks are a demonstration of support for Palestinians in the war on Gaza.
