U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) reported in its latest update that its forces successfully destroyed three Iranian-backed Houthi rebels uncrewed aerial systems (UAS) launched from Houthi-controlled areas of Yemen over the Gulf of Aden.
CENTCOM press release added that its forces also destroyed another Houthi UAS in a Houthi-controlled area of Yemen.
Separately, CENTCOM forces destroyed another Houthi uncrewed surface vessel (USV), one Houthi uncrewed aerial vehicle (UAV) and one Houthi anti-ship ballistic missile (ASBM) in the Red Sea.
CENTCOM concluded that these weapons presented a clear and imminent threat to U.S. and coalition forces, and merchant vessels in the region and that the reckless and dangerous behavior by Iranian-backed Houthis continues to threaten regional stability and security.
